Our network is a winner

We’re so pleased to announce that O2 has recently won Best Network Coverage in the Uswitch Mobile Awards 2021. It’s the fourth year in a row that O2 have won the award and we couldn’t be prouder with the continued dedication to ensure our customers receive the best possible service.

Uswitch is the most important award of them all as it uses real customer satisfaction survey data as a key factor to determine their winner, which means that O2 customers have played a huge part in us being awarded Best Network Coverage again. It makes us happy to know that you’re happy.

O2 also won Best Network Performance at the Mobile News Awards 2020 and 2019.

The award is judged using independent data about our network, compared with Vodafone, EE and Three. It takes the top scores for network speed, coverage and reliability in the top 10 UK cities last year, as measured by Global Wireless Solutions (GWS), Yboo and RootMetrics. These scores are combined to give an average weighting across all the measures. We were ahead in both the GWS and Yboo tables.

Global Wireless Solutions (GWS) also awarded us the Best Network for Reliability in 2020 and 2019. They tested the network for reliability across the country, and worked with YouGov to conduct focus group sessions, and combined these results to get a final score. We were found to be the most reliable network in most of the cities and towns tested.

O2 is also Europe’s admired telecommunications company

They were ranked the most admired telecommunications company in Europe by Fortune 2019 and 2018. And climbed to the second most admired telecommunications company in the world. Executives believe that Telefonica is the best operator in Europe in terms of innovation, use of assets, equipment management and management quality. And we scored highly for our quality of products, services, social responsibility, financial soundness and long-term investment value.
