Can I have two SIM cards with the same business mobile number?
Each O2 business phone SIM card can only be registered to a single phone number so it’s not possible to get two operational SIM cards with the same number.
If you need two business phones, but only want to manage a single number, one option could be to set up call forwarding on one of your phones.
You can simply set up call forwarding options for when you’re busy or on another call, or if you don’t answer on your main phone.
Setting up call forwarding on your O2 business phone will be different depending on whether you’re using an iPhone or Android device, information can be found in the settings option on your phone.
How much will it cost to use my data abroad?
The majority of countries do support UK data usage so you will be able to use your business phone’s data while overseas.
However, be wary that roaming charges and tariffs can vary between countries so make sure you understand any charges you might face before using your business phone.
What happens if one of my employees goes over their data allowance?
It is possible that you could face additional charges if one of your employees exceeds the data allowance on their business phone.
What if I want to upgrade my business’ phones before my existing contract runs out?
Of course, you can… no problem.. if you want to upgrade your O2 business phones early, get in touch with us and we’ll be able to run you through the different options available to you.
Can I switch my personal phone number to my business contract?
All you need to do is get a Porting Authorisation Code (PAC) number from your current business phone provider and then give that code to us.
You can ask for this number by texting or calling your current provider.
We can then transfer your current phone number over to your new SIM card.
This will only transfer the phone number to the SIM card, you can’t use a PAC code to transfer files or the contents of your phone.
The PAC number will usually be valid from 30 days after it’s issued, but it’s best to give it to us as soon as possible so you have the number transferred to your new phone quicker.
If you don’t give us the PAC number within the timeframe, you might need to request a new one.
How long does it take for my phone number to transfer to the new SIM card?
Once you’ve given us the PAC number, we’ll content your current network to schedule the switch of number to your new SIM card.
It can take a few working days for the number to transfer.
