We’re a multi award winning O2 franchise with our head office based in Merseyside. We operate twenty O2 shops mainly in the North West but also in North Wales and North East England. Also at our head office is our O2 Business Centre which is the home of our consumer sales, B2B sales and supporting teams.
As an independent franchise of O2 (Telefónica UK Limited), we sell O2 products and services under the O2 brand in line with O2’s instructions. Being independent means we can provide our own extra level of personal care and support both in our shops and at our O2 Business Centre, and have the strength of the O2 network, products, services and infrastructure supporting us. Communications Plus was founded and our first shop was opened at Bolton – Middlebrook Retail Park
O2 Franchise of the Year Award in 2007, 2009 and 2010.
2007 opened Ellesmere Port- Coliseum Shopping Park. 2008 Aintree- Racecourse Retail Park and Wrexham – Eagles Meadow. We acquired Lytham St Annes in 2010 and Penrith in 2011.
O2 Franchise of the Year Award 2012.
We opened new shops in Bishop Auckland, Ellesmere Port – Port Arcades Shopping Centre, Redcar and Chester – Broughton Shopping Park.
In 2013 we acquired Bangor – Gwynedd, Chorley, Kendal, Wrexham – Hope Street, Accrington and Burnley.
In 2014 we opened our O2 Business Centre in Rainford.
Awarded O2 Franchise of the Decade (2005–2015), O2 Franchise Customer Award, and O2 Franchise Choice Award.
Also accredited with Investors in People Gold Award, and One of 1000 Businesses to Inspire Britain.
2016 achieved a Queen’s Award for Enterprise – Innovation Category. Acquired shops in Oswestry, Ormskirk, Leigh, and Bootle.
In 2017 we received the O2 Measure of Excellence Award.
Investors in People Gold for the second time and O2 Customer Focus Award 2018, along with Pride of St Helens Business Award categories for Employer of the Year and overall Pride of St Helens Award.

Steve Roberts, founder and CEO of Communications Plus has over 20 years of industry experience. Steve has a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This, coupled with his core values of being structured and disciplined in our approach, underpins how we deliver our customers an award-winning service.
A wealth of experience in operating and managing businesses, and a background in telecommunications.
Michael joined the team in 2007 and from the original shop floor in Bolton progressed to his current role. Mike has a passion for delivering sales through great customer experiences and manages the sales teams across our locations.
Nick joined the team in 2013, he has a wealth of experience working for large businesses as an accountant and in business development.

With a history in sales and telecommunications Richard heads up the B2B, B2C and O2 Open sales and service teams based at our head office.
HR and Payroll Manager
A real peoples person, for anything HR and pay related.
Finance and Operations Assistant
With a keen eye for detail Jackie supports our finance and operations across the business.
