Supporting North East Businesses Locally
Being local has always been an important part of the service we provide from our Sunderland office. It means our customers have access to people who understand the area, take the time to get to know their business and are close by when they need support.
One of those people is Business Development Executive Sam Jackson, who recently returned to our North East team for his second spell with Cellular Solutions.
Working with the team in Sunderland and alongside Rob and Andrew, Sam supports small and medium-sized businesses across Sunderland and the wider North East with their business technology requirements and ongoing account management. His focus is on building lasting relationships, understanding how each customer operates and making sure they receive the attentive, personal service they need.
A career built around customers
A local lad, Sam began developing his sales and customer service skills during nearly ten years at Ramside Hall Golf Club in County Durham.
His passion for golf then took him overseas, where he spent three years working within the golf industry in Dubai. The experience gave Sam the opportunity to work with customers from around the world and further develop the relationship-building and service skills that he now brings to his role.
After returning to the North East, Sam joined Cellular Solutions and quickly became a valued member of the Sunderland team. Just over a year later, another exciting international opportunity came along: a dream role at One&Only Palmilla in Los Cabos, Mexico.
It was an opportunity Sam could not turn down, but the North East eventually called him home. We were delighted when he chose to return to Cellular Solutions for a second time, bringing his experience, energy and customer-focused approach back to the business.
Supporting businesses across Sunderland and the North East
For Sam, good account management starts with being available, listening carefully and understanding what matters to each customer.
Whether a local business is reviewing its current services, planning for growth or simply needs dependable ongoing support, Sam works closely with Rob, Andrew and the wider team to make sure it receives clear advice and the right level of attention.
That approach is already making a difference. We regularly receive positive feedback from Sam’s customers about the care and attention he provides, exactly the kind of local, personal service we want every customer to experience.
Going the distance
Outside work, Sam is a talented and committed runner. He recently completed the Quayside 5K in a new personal best of 15 minutes 46 seconds and is now training for the BMW Berlin Marathon on 27 September 2026.
Running a 5K at that pace is impressive enough, but taking on 26.2 miles in Berlin will require another level of preparation and determination. We will be following Sam’s training and wishing him the very best as race day approaches.
