At a glance
The Samsung Galaxy S21 is technically the entry-level device of Samsung’s S21 series, although you’d never know it based on the performance and features it comes packed with.
With a powerful processor and good memory, along with decent screen size, means you can accomplish your day-to-day business tasks with ease.
And if budget is a consideration, this could be just what you’re looking for.
How does it look?
Although you’d never notice until you looked close, the Samsung S21 is plastic backed compared to the metal finish you might expect on a higher-end business smartphone.
Not that that is detrimental to the phone’s appearance and it definitely has the sleek design you’d come to expect from a Samsung business phone.
Plus it can withstand the bumps and knocks it might get in your pocket or your laptop case.
Its 6.2inch 120Hz display means you’ll never have any issues reading or responding to emails and the size is big enough that you could even review your important documents on the go without straining your eyes.
How does it perform?
If you want a top end business mobile phone on a budget then the Samsung S21 could be what you’re looking for.
Even comparing this to the other S21 devices, you’d struggle to see how this can be defined as entry level.
It includes Samsung’s Exynos 2100 processor and 8GB of RAM which provides 50% faster processing speeds compared to the S20 so you can get through your work and browsing with quicker speeds.
And, despite the increase in performance power, there’s no real noticeable difference in the battery life and with general use you can get around 20 hours out of the battery before you need to top it up.
One thing you might need to consider is that the S21 doesn’t come with the micro SD card slot we’ve come to expect from Android business phones.
So if you’ve been keeping information stored on a card previously you’ll need to find a different way of transferring that information to your new S21.
Having said that, the S21 isn’t the first Android phone to lose its SD slot and it’s something we’re seeing becoming more common as users switch to cloud based storage instead.
